International Mobility
As a result of TPC's participation in international agreements, (IEA), graduates from an accredited TPC program are recognized around the world.
The Sydney Accord was signed June 25, 2001, between TPC and counterparts in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and South Africa recognize, technologist level educational credentials.
The Dublin Accord was signed May 13, 2002, between TPC and counterparts in the UK, Ireland, United States, Malaysia and South Africa recognize technician level educational credentials.
The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT) is pleased to offer a professional designation “IntETn(Canada)” to Engineering Technicians in accordance with the International Engineering Alliance (IEA). This designation is granted to those engineering technicians in Canada who meet the following criteria:
- applicants must be a Certified Engineering Technician in Canada (C.Tech)
- must have a minimum of five years practical work experience
- must agree to be bound by an international Code of Ethics
- must demonstrate professional development activities for the past 5 years

How much does it cost?
- A member of a TPC Provincial Organization: $40 *valid for two years
- Member of a CCTT Provincial Association (NB, NS, PEI, NL or MB): $40.00 *valid for two years
- Other Associations: $80.00 *valid for two years
What happens after I apply?
Once your application has been approved by CCTT, you will receive a Letter of Authorization indicating that you have met the minimum requirements of an international engineering technician allowing you to use the designation “IntETn(Canada)” for a two year period. Your name will be placed on the CCTT International Register for verification by a participating country.

International Engineering Technologist
The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT) is pleased to offer a professional designation “IntET(Canada)” to Engineering Technologists in accordance with the International Engineering Alliance (IEA). This designation is granted to those engineering technologists in Canada who meet the following criteria:
- applicants must be a Certified Engineering Technologist in Canada (CET, TP or PTech) for a minimum of seven years
- must have a minimum of seven years practical work experience
- must have a minimum of two years in a management or supervisory role
- must agree to be bound by an international Code of Ethics
- must demonstrate professional development activities for the past 5 years

International Qualifications Database
The International Qualifications Database (IQDB) is a database of applied science and engineering technology educational programs from institutions around the world. It is developed and managed by the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT), and used by provincial Registrars to assess the qualifications of foreign trained technology professionals.
IQDB Authorized Users
IQDB Authorized Users can access IQDB here.
Canadian organizations that perform assessment of educational credentials of internationally trained professionals can become IQDB Authorized Users.
International Educational Institutions
International Educational Institutions can submit their applied science and engineering technology educational programs for assessment here.
